Position Overview

The purpose of this position is to support the Asset Management Team as they administer the receipt, management, and liquidation of Complex Asset contributions. The position is also responsible for the management of all life insurance gifts, financial statement and tax document collection.

Reports to: VP, Asset Management

Management/Supervision: None

Duties & Responsibilities

Provide administrative support to Asset Managers

  • Receive and log income associated with complex assets into various systems
  • Provide periodic reports
  • Process payment of expenses associated with complex assets
  • Receive and distribute mail for the team
  • Assist with general management of complex assets
  • Other support as needed

Manage life insurance gifts

  • Setup new life insurance contributions in the current system used to track the management of the asset
  • Track and ensure all premiums are paid
  • File claims against policies and manage the liquidation of the claim

Manage annual financial statement and tax statement collection

  • Determine complex assets that require annual financial statements and tax documents, such as K-1’s
  • Request financial statements and tax statements from companies and givers
  • File and track financial statements and tax statements

Manage monthly bank statement collection

  • Determine complex assets that require monthly bank statements.
  • Collect monthly statements via online banking system
  • File and track bank statements

Manage safekeeping of original documents

  • Track, receive, and store original documents related to complex assets, such as deeds, promissory notes, and stock certificates
  • Ensure documents are stored and logged properly
  • Return documents as needed
  • Periodically audit the inventory for accounting audit

Experience and Skills:

Christ Centered

  • Profession that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior

  • Demonstrates the values of faithfulness, love, and service

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration preferred
  • 10 years’ experience in lieu of a degree

Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience administration and/or customer service
  • Financial services experience is a plus

Knowledge Base

  • Familiarity with Salesforce is a plus
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office applications
  • Proven aptitude for "real time" problem diagnosis and solving
  • Some working knowledge of charitable, non-profit, foundation, and/or donor related subject matters
  • Able to perform duties independently
